Try to see situations from vantage points other than your own.
Think about how an issue or situation looks to someone else with different experiences.

When you are in disagreement with another person, imagine viewing the issue through their eyes and experience. You’ll be better able to understand their position, even if you don’t agree with them. It will be easier to find common ground, a solution that works for both of you or open you up to new possibilities.
